Omar EL BARKAOUIScène Moulay Hassan
This multi-talented artist began his career at the age of 15. He signed an international contract with Yamaha while still quite young, developed his own signature model of drumsticks (Vic Firth), and appeared regularly in the press, landing the cover of Batteur magazine. At 18, Omar was discovered by the Majors, with whom he signed and collaborated as composer for ambitious projects: Popstars, Rai'n'B Fever, Diam's, Amine, Kelly Rowland... In parallel he toured the world with major artists such as Keziah Jones, Matthieu Chedid, Cheb Khaled, and Damon Albarn. In 2012, he caught the attention of Moroccan producer RedOne, and moved to England to collaborate on albums with Jennifer Lopez, Shayne Ward, and Bluey Robinson. He also participated in the production of albums for Lafouine, Canardo, Willy Denzey, and Anthony Touma. Today, Omar El Barkaoui is a complete artist who composes, produces, sings and mixes his own tracks. His first album is scheduled for release this year, and will include collaborations with prestigious artists André Ceccarelli, Karim Ziad, and Manu Katché.
